A little about me...

My name is Kirsty Neil, and I’ve been passionate about butchery since I first stepped into the trade at just 15 years old. I began my career before heading off to travel across Australia, gaining life experience that shaped who I am today.

When I returned home, I worked in a variety of butchers across the Angus and Tayside areas, learning different skills and techniques from some incredible teams.

One of the proudest moments of my career came in March 2025, when I was selected to represent Team GB at the World Butchery Competition in Paris. Since then, I’ve taken part in numerous local competitions and delivered demonstrations to share my knowledge and love for the craft.

In July 2025, I fulfilled a lifelong dream by opening my own business Highland Butchery. Creating a welcoming local butchers has always been my goal, and I’m delighted to bring my passion and experience to the community.

Thank you so much for your continued support. It means the world to me, and it’s what allows Highland Butchery to thrive.
